In Norman, Ok a civil lawsuit over an Oklahoma turnpike collision has killed 10 people and was settled for $62.7 million. Eight of the victims were covered by a settlement on Wednesday and two other victim’s family members received an earlier settlement. One case that was part of the lawsuit was 77- year old Donald Creed, slammed his tractor trailer into vehicles that had stopped for a previous accident on the Will Rogers Turnpike on June 26, 2009.
It’s a good thing Oklahoma has this lawsuit because they might do something with their turnpikes, since they can be very dangerous. Most turnpikes are really curvy and very steep to were you have to go very slow around them or it’s also dangerous to try to get back on the High ways after paying toll. I have seen a few bad accidents on Tulsa turnpikes so hopefully they can find a way to make them safer.
